Snowymountains Power N Passion (aka Bundy) continues to impress. Bundy is set for a great season showing and aiming for the 2012 ASH National Futurity.
ASH World Championship Show
Power Play competed at the ASH National’s with Deb aboard in the hack ring. He had a great show and is maturing into a solid performer.
Steve and Deb also bought home two new horses from the Fountain of Youth Sale, the lovely chestnut filly ‘Elie May’ (Boonara Mentor / Kioma Oaks Diva) and the top priced gelding ‘Jindalee Usain’ (Binnia Impressive Destiny/ Berragoon Witnish).
Campdrafting
Despite rain causing drafts to cancel or postpone Glen and I have managed to get to a few Campdrafts this season. The horses are performing well and making finals with some great success.
I finally broke the drought and won the Gail Laurie Memorial Draft at Braidwood on Willow, which was very special as she was bred by Mel and Ian who run and sponsor the draft.
Both Henry’s Bonnie Lass and Sweet Rhapsody were successfully bred to Acres Destiny via embryo transfer. We excitedly look forward to the recipient mares foaling in September.
Snowymountains Crabbapple has been joined this year to the talented and consistent young sire Talawahl Classic Doc. We have two lovely foals on the ground by Mel and Ian Laurie’s terrific Acres Destiny stallion Glenmore Partnership Jag.
Congratulations to Ian and Who’s Catwoman, winners of the 2011 Landmark Classic.
